FAQ

your next meeting.

How TT Minutes fits your work, and what happens to your meeting content.

Who is TT Minutes for?

Company staff who prepare minutes for team meetings, project reviews and committee discussions. Record or import meeting audio, check the speaker-labelled transcript, then generate and edit a draft before sharing it with colleagues.

Do you keep my uploaded audio or meeting text?

We do not keep a permanent cloud meeting library. Uploaded audio is temporary: it is removed after successful processing, known failure or cancellation; an uncertain job can retain it for up to seven days from creation. Transcript and minutes results are removed after your device saves them and acknowledges receipt, or expire seven days after completion if unclaimed. Account, purchase and operational records are separate. Provider retention and database backups follow their own policies; see our privacy policy.

Do you use my meetings to train AI?

TT Minutes does not use your audio, transcripts or minutes to train AI models. OpenAI does not train on API content by default. We have opted out of ElevenLabs model training for the workspace used by TT Minutes. These protections apply to new submissions; they do not mean providers retain no data for processing, security or legal purposes.

Can I use it for confidential company meetings?

Follow your employer’s rules and obtain the required participant permission before recording or submitting audio. Transcription sends audio to ElevenLabs; minutes generation separately sends reviewed text and your instruction to OpenAI. If your company does not allow this external processing, keep recording and playback local and do not submit the content.

Can I send the minutes to colleagues?

Yes. Review and edit the draft, then copy it or share a TXT file through your phone. Check decisions, names, owners and deadlines against the meeting before circulation. There is no shared team workspace or cloud history. PDF, Word export and direct email delivery are not available yet.

What uses my audio minutes?

Cloud transcription uses the measured audio duration, rounded up to whole minutes. You confirm the cost first. Recording, playback and editing use no audio minutes. One minutes-generation attempt is included per real transcript, without an additional audio-minute deduction.

Can I download the app now?

TT Minutes is preparing for public release on iOS and Android. Builds are in testing; public downloads are not available yet. Device validation, purchase checks, final privacy review and store approval remain pending.

Do I need an account to record?

No. Guest capture, import, playback and bundled examples work offline. Configured builds offer email/password, Apple sign-in on iOS and Google sign-in on iOS/Android. Account processing requires sign-in and available audio minutes.

Will my recording be transcribed automatically?

No. Saving keeps the audio locally. The transcription flow requires upload consent and confirmation of the measured minute cost.

Will signing in restore my meetings?

No. History, audio, corrections and saved minutes belong to this device. Signing in restores your account and minute balance, not a cloud library. Signing out or deleting an account leaves local meetings in place.

Can I regenerate meeting minutes?

The current flow allows one confirmed generation attempt per real transcript. You can edit the result, but later transcript or instruction changes do not unlock another attempt. Failed or uncertain attempts cannot be retried yet.

Can I use it on my computer?

This version focuses on iOS and Android. Desktop product and release support are deferred.

Does the app interface support Chinese?

The latest app interface supports English and Traditional Chinese throughout. It follows a supported device language until you choose a language in Profile. Transcription language is a separate preference; your recordings, transcript text and edits keep their own language. Cantonese meeting minutes default to formal Traditional Chinese.
